John Hancock - Estate Preservation Rider
We value our partnerships with the insurance carriers and work with several carriers on a regular basis. Each carrier has niches that can be helpful in special circumstances, and we keep these in mind as we help our clients determine the best life insurance path, based on their goals and objectives.
Let’s take a minute to talk about John Hancock’s Estate Preservation Rider. This is a no-cost rider that can be added to a survivorship policy at implementation. All other policy details remain the same with the rider providing additional death benefit for the first 4 policy years, as long as the premiums are received on time and in full. This additional death benefit is useful when a new trust has been established to own the insurance policy, since estate taxes can be a concern for the trust during that time period.
