Charitable Giving
National Nonprofit Day
National Nonprofit Day is recognized annually on August 17th to celebrate nonprofit organizations' ongoing efforts to serve their community. During August, we are putting a spotlight on using life insurance to enhance charitable giving. An ongoing donation to a nonprofit organization during an individual’s life can create the insurable interest needed to implement a charitable giving policy. A donation via life insurance uses discounted dollars now via premium payments to leave a lump sum donation later via the death benefit. The degree of leverage achieved depends on the size of the policy’s death benefit, the health and life expectancy of the insured, and the total premiums paid.
Using Life Insurance to Fund Charitable Gifts
At Heirmark, we firmly believe in supporting local nonprofit organizations, and we are proud to participate in Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s Food For All match campaign. We know our donation will directly provide many meals to those in need.
