Life Insurance Awareness Month
Personal Values for Professional Growth
We consider September, which is both Life Insurance Awareness Month and Self-Improvement Month, a good time to assess personal values and make sure we surround ourselves with people who share the same beliefs about what’s important. Personal values are the traits that guide you on your path through life. If you are surrounded with people who do not share your personal values, it is difficult to get on the same page and complete ambitions and goals for a successful future. Personal values are a strong influence on your decisions, aspirations, and relationships.
Clarifying your personal values, even to yourself, helps you build stronger relationships with those around you, aligning you with people who will help you to better your life. When your actions align with your values, you feel more fulfilled. You are more than likely already guided by your personal values, and your personal relationships are generally built on mutual values, but it’s also important to assess whether your professional relationships are aligned. Personal values are derived from familial, religious, and cultural influences and can greatly vary from person to person. Outlined below are some ways to determine if an advisor has the same values as you. These traits are important to us at Heirmark, and we welcome an opportunity to explore synergies.
